For the past few months, I’ve been working with a client who has been a sheer delight… Ready for change and happy to be “finally” moving forward with her decorating plans, the very first project was an interior redesign of her living room. As you can see from the before photograph, this room included a lovely fireplace with a not so lovely fixed mirror, courtesy of the builder.
Now, I can totally appreciate a well placed mirror, but as is often the case, it usually ends up reflecting the one thing that you least want to see, i.e., the ceiling, a ceiling fan or the kitchen pots and pans. Once the one day decorating makeover was finished, we simply painted the mirror. It’s true what they say about watching paint dry! While it took 5 coats of the wall color for maximum coverage, the end result is truly the fairest of them all.

WOW, How cool, what a great way to resolve this common problem. You are so clever! Thanks for sharing.
You are “magic”! The inclusion of a wood frame for the nice print is complimenting the beautiful wood floor. It is hardly noticed in your before. Love it!
Boy I have heard of painting a lot of things. But a Mirror! I will remember this one. Great look
Thanks for the idea
Interesting – I never would have thought of painting a mirror. Your result was fantastic – thanks for sharing.
BTW-did you paint the morror?? Hidden talents…way cool.
What a great solution…leave it to a redesigner to make it a reality!
